Karin An Rijlaarsdam

Originally from The Netherlands, but now based in Shanghai, designer Karin An Rijlaarsdam founded her studio CLOUD-9 in 2005. The studio specialises in high-end restaurants, corporate showrooms, club lounges and interiors. They have also developed light collections and interior accessories in collaboration with local craftspeople, where indigenous materials and techniques are used. Karin strongly believes that design raison d'être is to bring function and happiness into people's lives. This belief is evident in CLOUD-9 designs.
