Based in downtown Stockholm, Swedish architect and designer Jonas Wagell’s collaborations stretch from China to North America. His work has come to be known for its playfulness and clever compact living. His works attempt to reduce unnecessary details and emphasize a function or main character, which often results in simple but expressive objects with soft shapes. He termed this as a type of ‘generous minimalism’. Jonas wants to create work that stays relevant for years to come. In 2008, he was named by Wallpaper* magazine as of the world’s 50 hottest young architects.
